Give yourself a life

I've heard that expression many times before, but never really understood the meaning of that. What you mean give yourself a life, have i always asked.

Well I’m already alive to start with.
So I kind of missed the point over and over again. And believe me I had many times in my life when somebody has pointed out the very same thought, but somehow I wasn't really ready to grasp that.
So do i understand that now? Well not completely, but I’m on my way there. I finally understood, that being able to fully enjoy my life, depends only on me.

Boy that took me 36 long and painful years to finally get it.

Why?

Because somehow people don’t believe, if one says to them, that life is actually very simple. That if you actually really want something then just go and pick it up.

What do you mean just go and pick it up? Have you even seen what that costs? Do you know how much I need to work in order to afford that to me? Etc.

I had an opportunity to attend Harv T. Eker Millionaire Mind Intensive in London. That was a blast. No literally it was a blast in my mind.

Here is the link where you can here what he has to say:

Now funny thing was that he actually was speaking about simple things, you know like it’s important to manage your money and it’s important to have positive attitude and it’s important to make plans and etc and etc. BUT somehow I did got it this time.

Well the somehow is actually very precise teaching method he uses in his courses. You should have seen me there. I was like a child in candy shop. Clapping my hands and doing all that kind of silly stuff.

Well the people, who know me, would say you, that I’m quite reserved person and they would never expect me to do something spontaneous like sing in public place or even write a poem or song. Right?

Wrong, I actually wrote a song. My very first song. It was a crappy one but nevertheless it was a song. I still can’t believe I did it, but there you go. There are many surprises hidden in me.

Now the point I’m trying to make here is that, if we really want something we can get it or do it. But it is important that we really want it. More we think about what we want, more favorable situations and circumstances will be arranged that will help us to achieve whatever we want.

So why is then life so complicated for most of us?

The main reason why we make our life so complicated is that we have too many restrictions and limitations buried in our head that are based on teachings and thoughts from our parents, grandparents, kindergarten, school and etc.

We know exactly all these things that we shouldn’t or can’t do. And most horrible is the fact that very often we don’t even ask ourselves what are the reason, that we can’t do these things. Or if we do ask, then we never ask if these reasons are actually true or practical.

Here is one simple example. If a person is heavy smoker then it is widely accepted opinion, that it is hard for this person just to quit smoking, because his body is used to nicotine and needs it to function “normally”. But, is it actually TRUE? Maybe it is just the thought in this person’s head that says that his body needs the nicotine. You see the point?

Once we get a grasp of that, the real fun will only begin.  Suddenly we will find ourselves in situation where we are searching the ways to get read of these thoughts and mind patterns that are limiting our potentials. We will see the world from all different perspective and I’m telling you, I love it.

I feel like a baby who had entered into this world, full of excitement and awareness of endless possibilities. Probably I will not challenge the law of gravity, at least not yet. But I have definitely different views on many limitations that stopped me achieving my dreams.
This transformation will not be easy, but it’s worth every single effort. The idea, that I am the master of my life or actually master of my happiness, is totally awesome, dude.

Awesome story, congrats!

Hey Paul~

Congratulations on your amazing new-found energy and zest for life and all its possibilities! I was blessed to have been raised by parents who were part of the human potential movement, and taught me over and over again that the power of belief, coupled with hard work and persistence, would allow anything I could dream to be possible. It is really hard to break years of conditioning, and courses like T. Harv Ecker's and others are a fantastic place to start!

Thanks for sharing your story Paul ~ very inspiring!

Congratulations, Paul

Paul,

Congratulations on your epiphany during the workshop. I absolutely believe that we have the power to change our lives and it certainly can begin by changing our thoughts and our limiting beliefs.

Wish you the best in implementing the changes,
Dr. Adam Sheck
